The University of Georgia dedicated various events in celebration of the Independence of Georgia. Events included singing of the National Anthem and performing traditional Georgian dances on campus.
Within the celebration, the winner of the photo competition "Independent Georgia" have also been named. The day ended with the movie screening of a popular film about the Russia-Georgia "5 Days of August".
